An Officer's Duty...

DISCLAIMER: The following story is completely fictional. Any similarity to any person, living or dead, is just a coincidence. It was around 1400 hrs when I reached home. I was in the final year of my graduation, and desperately trying to figure what to do after I pass out of college. My mother served lunch for me and I hurriedly finished it off and went to get some rest. 1500 hrs, one of my friends called up and told my mother that I had got a call from the SSB (Services Selection Board). I knew it around evening when I confronted everyone in the house. My father was very upset. They all tried to dissuade me from taking it up. I would have been persuaded by them to leave it, but suddenly this thought leapt through my mind. What if every person signing up for the services was persuaded not to do so. Who would safeguard the MotherLand. Reluctantly, everyone agreed to my words after a whole week of arguments. However, my mother was still not fully agreeable. Somehow she felt she would not...

Quotes: General George S. Patton

I am putting down some quotes by General George S. Patton of the US Army. This post might contain inappropriate material. Discretion is advised. My favorite one: " No Bastard ever won a War by dying for his Country. He Won it by making the other Poor Dumb Bastard die for his Country. " 1. An Army is a team; lives, sleeps, eats, fights as a team. This individual heroic stuff is a lot of crap. 2. May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't. 3. War is the supreme test of man in which he rises to heights never approached in any other activity. ( ...More to come )

Nation held to Ransom: Quota strikes Again

" Me too, Me too. I also want a share of the pie Mommy. And make sure its the Lion's Share. " More dirtier scenes have been seen in the past regarding the Quota. The latest being downplayed in Rajasthan and spreading to the nearby States. The Gujjars have taken to streets and whatever roads they can find a place in the Scheduled Tribe category. And this is not it, the Meena Community took to the streets fearing decrease in their share of the ST quota. Pathetic... All Pathetic Suckers... 57 years have passed after India became a Republic. The quota system should have been abolished 7 years ago. But the ruling NDA regime did not have the balls to do so. And if that was not enough, this year a moron in the name of Arjun Singh started a fire on 27 percent reservation for OBC's. And guess who were the lone fighters revolting against the order. Our own prestigious AIIMS students who took to the streets protesting the OBC quota. In a country where reservations count upto 50%...

The Real Me... The Confused One, Not The Chosen One

There goes a saying " The more you Sweat in Peace, The less you Bleed in War "... You know who said that... General Patton just repeated it... Go find yourself... " No Bastard ever won a War by dying for his Country. He Won it by making the other Poor Dumb Bastard die for his Country. " - General George S. Patton Ever met the Devil... Look no further, for the Devil has risen... A happy go lucky guy... Look at me and you would say this guy knows everything... talk to me and you would say this guy is a real genius... but deep down within me I know how confused I am... Introducing to you the average Indian Youth... Macaulay's Cheap Indian Labourer... Anyone remembers him and what he is credited with... Well he intended to create lots and lots of cheap fools who would think the British Raj was God and obey their commands in all spheres of life...The Britishers went back... But they left the System back here... For they wanted that their former Colonists should never...

Indian IT Professional: The Myth and Reality

They are the poster boys in Matrimonial columns. Very high salaries at young age. Technology drivers. Blah blah blah and blah... Poof... Sigh... Is this worth it? Or should I put it in this way. Did the whole damn thing make any sense to you? People with weak hearts who cannot digest this, please back off and visit some techie site to enhance your knowledge or an auction site to get that digital camera you always wanted. First Myth: IT guys are very knowledgeable, work on cutting edge technologies. Reality: Cut out all this crap. The Indian IT sector is all about services. Work, which the client's employees, probably somewhere in the US do not like to do. Involves a lot of Copy and Paste. Add to it a unfriendly client who needs it done in the next one hour. Regarding cutting edge technologies, my foot. You would be given some shit 2 hours training and you would be ready to do the work. And if you drop out, don't think that you are scaring them. They can pick up from any of the ...
